What Drives the Cost of a Glass Fence?
Four factors determine what you'll pay — and where you can save.
Glass Type & Thickness
The glass itself is the largest cost component. We use 13.5mm tempered laminated glass — the premium choice. It stays in place if broken (unlike basic tempered), meets all pool codes, and handles high winds. Thinner 10mm or 12mm glass costs less but offers less safety.
Hardware Grade
Spigots (the posts that hold the glass) come in 304, 316, and 2205 duplex stainless steel. We use 2205 duplex stainless — twice the corrosion resistance of 316, and significantly stronger. It costs more, but it's the only grade that will look great near a pool for decades.
Project Size
Cost per linear foot decreases as your project grows. A 48 ft full perimeter kit works out to about $94/ft, while an 8 ft starter is about $112/ft. If you're close to the next kit size, going larger often makes financial sense — and free shipping kicks in on orders over $4,999.
Labor (The Biggest Variable)
Professional labor accounts for 50–60% of the total project cost. Contractors charge $80–$120/hour for a two-person crew — a 32 ft install typically takes a full day. This is where DIY saves you the most. Our kits are engineered for homeowners to install in a weekend.

4 Ways to Save on Your Glass Fence
Install it yourself
The single biggest saving. Our kits are engineered for DIY homeowners and save you $70–$150 per linear foot in labor. Most installs take one weekend with no special tools.
Size your kit correctly
Use our kit calculator above to get the right amount. Buying too large wastes money; buying too small means a second freight shipment that costs more than the difference in kit price.
Hit $4,999 for free freight
Freight shipping for glass panels runs $200–$500 depending on your location. Orders over $4,999 ship free. If you're close, a gate kit or accessory pack can push you over the threshold.
Use Shop Pay or Affirm
Spread the cost over monthly installments with zero interest on shorter plans. A $1,699 Standard Kit can be as low as $142/month. Get premium glass now, pay as you enjoy it.
Pricing Questions
Common questions about cost, shipping, and financing.
How much does a glass fence cost per linear foot?
Our DIY kits work out to approximately $94–$112 per linear foot for materials, depending on kit size (larger kits have a lower per-foot cost). Professional installation typically runs $150–$210 per linear foot including labor and materials — so you save 40–60% by installing yourself.
Is shipping included in the price?
Freight shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location. All orders over $4,999 qualify for free freight shipping to anywhere in the contiguous US. All shipments include residential delivery with liftgate service — no dock needed.
Are financing options available?
Yes. We offer Shop Pay Installments and Affirm at checkout, letting you split your purchase into monthly payments. A Standard Kit ($1,699) starts at approximately $142/month. Rates and terms vary based on your credit and plan length.
What if I need more than 48 linear feet?
Simply combine kits — for example, a Pro Kit (32 ft) + a Standard Kit (16 ft) covers 48 ft at the same per-foot pricing. For projects over 96 ft or unusual configurations, contact us for a custom quote.
Does a glass fence add home value?
Yes. Real estate professionals consistently rank glass pool fencing as one of the outdoor features that most impresses buyers. Pool area upgrades generally return 40–60% of their cost at resale — and glass fencing is at the high end because of its visual impact and safety credentials.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return window on unopened kits. If any glass panels arrive damaged, we ship replacements at no charge — just send us a photo of the damage. No need to return the broken panels.
